About this game
Néon Bubble is a bubble shooter — the great bubble-firing classic — dressed in a polished retro-neon skin with a modern feel, built for touch as much as for the mouse. At the top of the screen a hexagonal grid of coloured bubbles hangs from the ceiling, odd and even rows offset like a real stack of marbles. At the bottom sits a cannon you aim freely: drag with your finger (or the mouse) and a dotted guide line shows the line of fire, then tap to shoot. The bubble races upward, bounces off the side walls if you play the angles, and sticks to the grid on first contact. The whole game rides on one crisp rule: as soon as your shot forms a group of three bubbles of the same colour or more, the group bursts in a spray of light and scores you points. Better still, bubbles no longer attached to the ceiling — the clusters you just cut loose by breaking their support — drop away in a cascade for a big bonus: aiming at the right anchor point to bring a whole cluster down is the most spectacular and most rewarding move in the game. The pressure builds gently: every few shots a new row comes down from the ceiling and pushes the bubbles towards the bottom line. If a bubble crosses that line, just above your cannon, the game ends. Your job is to keep the field clear by chaining bursts. The controls are universal: on touch, aim and tap anywhere in the play area; on the keyboard, the left and right arrows adjust the angle and the spacebar fires. Every bubble colour also carries its own central symbol, so it stays perfectly readable with colour blindness — the information never rests on the shade alone. Everything runs at 60 frames per second, with a calm synthesised soundtrack and a satisfying pop that climbs the scale with every burst. How to play
Fire bubbles to build groups of three or more matching colours and burst the grid hanging from the ceiling.
Game rules
- A hexagonal grid of coloured bubbles hangs from the ceiling, with the rows offset in a staggered pattern.
- Aim the cannon at the bottom by dragging: a dotted guide line shows you the line of fire.
- Fire: the bubble travels up, bounces off the side walls and sticks on first contact.
- Bringing at least three bubbles of the same colour together bursts the group and scores you points.
- Clusters left hanging with nothing above them drop away in a cascade: that is a big bonus.
- Every few shots a new row comes down; if a bubble crosses the bottom line, the game is over.

How a run ends
You lose if a bubble drops past the bottom line of the screen. The goal is to push your score as high as you can by bursting groups and bringing clusters down.
Tips & strategy
Play the bank shots
The bubble rebounds cleanly off the side walls. Aim at a wall on purpose to tuck a bubble into an awkward pocket and complete a group hidden away at the edge.
Go for the anchors
Bursting the bubbles that tie a cluster to the ceiling drops the whole cluster at once. Those cascades pay far better than plain groups of three.
Read the symbols
Every colour carries a symbol in its centre. If two shades look close, check the symbol rather than the colour so you never waste a shot on the wrong group.

The bubble shooter was born with Puzzle Bobble, also known as Bust-a-Move, released by Taito in arcades in 1994. It starred Bub and Bob, the dinosaurs from Bubble Bobble, firing bubbles at a ceiling of colours.
